CRITICS’ CHOICE AWARDS 2025: Timothée Chalamet, Jessie Buckley big winners

Leonardo DiCaprio’s ‘One Battle After Another’ won the Best
Picture award at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
The film’s director, Paul Thomas Anderson, also won
Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
The film, which tells the story of a far-left group fighting for power, has also advanced in the Oscar race.
The 31st Critics’ Choice Awards were held on the night of January 4 (local time in the United States).
‘The Sinners’ has won the Critics’ Choice Awards, winning four awards, including Best Casting, Best Newcomer, Original Screenplay, and Background Score.
Timothée Chalamet won the Best Actor award for his performance in ‘Marty Supreme’, beating out Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B Jordan and Wagner Mourad.
Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for ‘Hamnet’.
On the other hand, ‘The Pit’ reigned supreme in the television category. This HBO Max series was selected as the best drama series. Noah Wyle won the award for Best Actor for his performance in it, and Catherine Lanassa won the award for Best Supporting Actress.
The Studio’ won the award for Best Comedy Series.
The awards for Best Actor and Supporting Actor in the comedy category also went to ‘The Studio’.
Netflix’s much-talked-about miniseries ‘Adolescence’ won a maximum of six awards at the Emmy Awards.
The series continued its dominance at the Critics’ Choice Awards as well. ‘Adolescence’ won in a total of four categories: Best Limited Series, Best Actor for Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor for Wayne Cooper, and Best Supporting Actress for Erin Doherty.
