BNP, Jamaat collect nomination papers

In the upcoming national parliamentary elections, the BNP and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami have collected their nomination papers to contest in the Nilphamari-2 constituency.

Today 18 December-2025, Mubashwira Amatullah, the Upazila Executive Officer of Nilphamari Sadar, handed over the nomination papers to representatives of the BNP and Jamaat candidates.

Representatives of A.H.M. Saifullah Rubel, the BNP’s potential candidate symbolized by “Paddy Sheaf,” collected the nomination forms on his behalf.

Present at the occasion were Nilphamari district BNP convener Mir Selim Faruk and joint convener Mostafa Haq Pradhan Bacchu, along with leaders and activists from various levels of the BNP and its allied organizations.

The nomination collection process was completed in a peaceful and orderly manner.

Meanwhile, representatives of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated parliamentary candidate Advocate Al Faruk Abdul Latif also collected the nomination papers.

Present at the event were Anwarul Islam, Assistant Secretary of the Nilphamari district branch of Jamaat-e-Islami and constituency director for Nilphamari-2; Sadar Upazila Amir Professor Abu Hanifa Shah; Naib Amir Qari Abdul Aziz; and Anisur Rahman Azad.

The nomination paper collection for both parties was successfully completed in a calm and orderly environment.
