I Spent Ten Years Preparing Me for Cinema

Tania Brishty is a contemporary actress and model. Although she is a familiar face in television dramas, she made her big-screen debut in 2015 with Akram Khan’s ‘Ghasphul’ . Recently, she has started shooting for her new film ‘Tribunal’ , which is expected to be released this upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Speaking about not being regular in films, Brishty said, “After becoming a Channel i Top Model, I had a film contract with them. At that time, I thought it would be very easy. Later, I realized that cinema is a much larger canvas. To survive here, you need talent, preparation-everything. So I decided that I had to prepare myself first. I took that preparation by working on the small screen. Over these ten years, I have shaped myself specifically for cinema.”

She added, “Over the past few years, I was often asked-am I returning to films? Will I act on the big screen again? Now there is no need to say anything separately. I am returning through ‘Tribunal’-that is the answer. Even though it took a long time, I feel I am returning at the right moment.”
