Solitude teaches me reflect anew: Tama Mirza
Entertainment Report :
Tama Mirza is a prominent actress of the current era. She has been praised for her performances in works such as Friday, Khanchar Vitor Ochin Pakhi, Surongo, Amlonama, and most recently, Dagi.
She recently returned to the country after a trip to Bangkok. Speaking about her travels, she said, “I have been to Bangkok a few times before. This time, the purpose of the trip was to give myself some quality time.
A few days ago, the film Mon Je Bujhe Na, which Tama had acted in 11 years ago, was released. When asked about it, Tama said, “We finished shooting the film 11 years ago. I played the female lead opposite Arifin Shuvoo.
Personally, I feel a film should ideally be released within three years of completing shooting. Otherwise, its merit gets lost, and it could affect the reputation of the artists as well. I acknowledge that a producer invests a lot of money. Releasing a film from so long ago can be disappointing both for the audience and for us.”
When asked about upcoming films or web series, Tama replied, “I don’t want to say anything just yet. I have spoken with several production houses, and I have a few scripts in hand. Which one I will start shooting first has not been decided.
However, I never compromise on the story or the character, so I want to take my time in making that decision.” Tama enjoys her leisure time. She said, “When I’m not shooting, I listen to music, read books, watch films, or cook. I like trying out new recipes.
Most of all, I enjoy being alone—walking around my house with a cup of tea in hand, reflecting on where I went wrong in life and how I can do better. This solitude teaches me to think afresh.”
