CRAB concerns over death threat to Jahangir Alam

Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) on Saturday expressed concerned (CRAB) on the death-threat to its vice-president Mohd Jahangir Alam.
In a statement, Crab president Esaraf Hossain Esa and general secretary Kamruzzman Khan on Saturday said the journalist community is concerned over the death-threat on a professional journalist.
The leaders demanded arrest and punishment of the culprits involved in the incident.
Mohd Jahangir Alam, also a senior reporter of the news agency UNB, received death threat over phone on Friday night when he was going to his residence from the office. Later Mohd Jahangir Alam filed a GD with Tejgaon Shilpanchal thana.
The organization also condemned police harassment on CRAB member and crime reporter of the daily Shokaler Khobor Emdadul Haque.
