Ultimatum to remove Savar OC

Residents of Bongaon Union in Savar held a protest rally and human chain in response to the killing of Abu Saeed.

On Sunday afternoon, after forming a human chain at Boliarpur Bus Stand on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway, they expressed their protest by blocking the road.

During the protest, the demonstrators demanded the swift arrest of Abu Saeed’s killer, Zakir Hossain, along with other accused in the case, and called for exemplary punishment, including the death penalty.

At the same time, they also demanded the removal of the OC of Savar Model Police Station from his post.

The aggrieved residents warned that if the killers are not arrested within 24 hours, they would once again block the Dhaka-Aricha Highway as part of a stricter program, disrupting traffic.

Alongside the local residents, leaders of various social organizations also participated in the human chain.

They emphasized that all those involved in Abu Saeed’s murder must be brought under the law and face exemplary justice.
