JKKNIU hosts MDS alumni reunion

Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) hosted a vibrant reunion and alumni meet for the Master of Development Studies (MDS – Weekend Program) graduates on Friday (September 19) at the university conference room.
The program was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Bokhtiar Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, while Assistant Professor Md. Wali Ullah conducted the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr. Md. Bokhtiar Uddin highlighted the significance of Development Studies, noting that it plays a crucial role in development planning, policy formulation, and social transformation. He emphasized that such alumni gatherings strengthen bonds among graduates and encourage lifelong engagement with the university.
Among those present were Associate Professor Sanjoy Kumar Mukharjee, Associate Professor Azizur Rahman, Assistant Professors Shafiqul Islam, Nazmul Hasan, Harunur Rashid, Gazi Arafat Uz Zaman Markony, and Tanzil Ahmed, along with other faculty members.
Guests called upon alumni to stay committed to their social responsibilities and contribute to research, policy analysis, and evidence-based planning for the nation’s development.
The event brought together current and former MDS students, faculty members, and invited guests. Alumni shared their learning experiences, professional journeys, and discussed key challenges and opportunities in the development sector.
