AIUB holds orientation of new students, teachers

American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) has organized an orientation program for newly enrolled students of Undergraduate and Graduate programs for the Summer Semester 2014-2015 held recently at the AIUB Auditorium.
AIUB Vice Chancellor Dr Carmen Z. Lamagna chaired the program while Nadia Anwar, Founder and Vice President (Student Affairs) supervised it. The Pro-vice Chancellor Dr Charles C Villanueva, Vice President (Academic) Prof Dr Tafazzal Hossain and Deans from different department spoke on this occasion.
In the program, students and their parents and guardians were informed about the rules and regulations, academic procedures, including registration, examination systems and other academic matters.
Prior to the students’ orientation sessions, another orientation program for newly appointed teachers of the university was held. AIUB Pro-vice Chancellor Dr Charles C Villanueva and Vice President (Academic) Prof Dr Tafazzal Hossain introduced the newly appointed teachers at the outset and highlighted the academic matters and rules and regulations of the university for maintaining the high quality education of international standard to face the global challenges.
After the core sessions of the orientation programs, a question and answer session was held where the Pro-Vice Chancellor replied to various queries raised by the students, guardians and the newly appointed teachers. AIUB Registrar, Deans, Departmental Heads, teachers and officers concerned of the University were present on the occasion.
