BD Hockey team to leave for China today

Bangladesh Under-20 Men’s & Women’s Hockey teams are now staying in China to play Men’s & Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026.

Bangladesh Hockey team will leave for China today for the preparation of the upcoming Asian Games. Bangladesh Hockey team will reach China tomorrow.

Bangladesh Hockey team will play six warm-up matches in China. Bangladesh Hockey team will play against China Hockey team three preparation matches.

Bangladesh Hockey team will play three warm-up matches against the different three Provincial XI of China.

Ashraful-led Bangladesh Hockey team under supervision of experienced Head Coach Peter Gerhard will play aix warm-up matches in China.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation Ishtiaq Sadek said to a local website, ” The six preparation matches will be helpful for Bangladesh Hockey team to develop their performance.

I hope that the players will improve their performance after playing six warm-up matches.”

Ace hockey player and star hockey player Russell Mahmud Jimmy will not go to China. He will take part in his practice sessions in Dhaka. After returning the Bangladesh Hockey team to Dhaka, Jimmy will join the Bangladesh Hockey team.

Then the full-fledged Bangladesh Hockey team will go to Aichi-Nagoya of Japan to take part in the Hockey Competition of Asian Games 2026.
