DC inaugurates "Festival of Youth" by donating blood in N’ganj

Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Zahidul Islam Miah
inaugurated the “Youth Festival 2025” by donating blood at the DC
office premises on Saturday, September 13. The daylong event,
organized by the district administration with support from Quantum
Foundation and Badhan, included blood donation and blood group
testing.
DC Md. Zahidul Islam Miah attended as the chief guest, while
Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Jashim Uddin was present as
the special guest.
Officials and staff of the district administration, members of the police,
representatives of various socio-cultural organizations, students from
schools and colleges, and local residents spontaneously took part in the
blood donation program.
During the opening session, the DC remarked that blood donation is the
ultimate act of humanity. “Only those who participate in such initiatives
can truly realize the satisfaction that comes from donating blood.
Donating blood does not make the body weak; rather, it improves blood
circulation and helps keep the body refreshed,” he said.
He also urged all healthy and able individuals to join this humanitarian
initiative by donating blood regularly.
