Media’s contribution to student uprising and democracy discussed at Sylhet seminar

A seminar on the role of the media in the uprising of the 24th students and the establishment of democracy was held in Sylhet with the participation of media representatives.

Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad presided over the seminar, and Abdul Quader Tapadar, Sylhet Bureau Chief of the Daily Naya Diganta, presented the Key note.
The seminar was conducted by Md. Mominul Haque, Deputy Chief Information Officer of the Regional Information Office Sylhet.
Sylhet Press Club President Ikramul Kabir, Co-President Khaled Ahmed, Chief News Editor of Daily Sylhet Dak Enamul Haque Zuber, Sylhet Bureau Chief of BSS Selim Awal, Sylhet Bureau Chief of Daily Khabarpatro M.A. Matin, Editor of Daily Probhatbela Kabir Ahmed Sohel, Sylhet Bureau Chief of New Age Moniruzzaman Monir, Sylhet Correspondent of Daily Banik Barta Nur Ahmed, Sylhet Correspondent of Desh TV Khaled Ahmed, Sylhet Online Press Club President Golzar Ahmed Helal, General Secretary Saifur Rahman Talukder spoke at the seminar.
In the president’s speech, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad said, “We all have to protect the country together, if there is no country, there will be no value of consciousness or ideology. Therefore, from each position, we have to be aware and careful.” Our present and future security lies in that thought and implementation.
