Nazifa Tushi 1st time in govt grant movie

Nazifa Tushi made her big screen debut in 2016 with the movie ‘Ice-Cream’. She didn’t get much success in her debut movie. So, she was away from the big screen for a long time.

After a six-year hiatus, Nazifa Tushi surprised everyone with Mejbaur Rahman Sumon’s film ‘Hawa’ in 2022.

Then she went into hiding again. Two years after the success of the movie ‘Hawa’.

It was revealed in October that Tushi is acting in another movie by Sumon.

The official announcement of the movie ‘Roid’ has not been made yet.

Earlier, it was learned that Tushi has joined the government-funded movie ‘Sokhi Rongomala’. This is Tushi’s first film with a grant.

Regarding talking about her new movie, Nazifa Tushi told this correspondent, “It’s a pleasure to be a significant character in such a historical story.

The film is being made based on a story from about 20 years ago. After reading the script, I felt like I should do it.”

The movie ‘Sokhi Rongomala’ also stars Swarnali Chaiti, Prantar Dastidar, Mostafizur Noor Imran, Taufiqul Aman, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, among others.

The director has said that the shooting of the rest of the film will begin soon.

“If everything goes well, I’m planning to release ‘Sokhi Rongomala’ in theatres by the end of this year,” he also said.
