Road accident claims 3 lives in Natore

Three teenagers were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a truck at Sheikhchilan of Lalpur upazila in Natore on Tuesday.
They were three friends. They are Shraban Mazumdar (18), son of Shri Shiben of Dhala Hindupara, Swapan (19), son of Shri Ratan, and Bidhan Sarkar (18), son of Bishnu Sarkar of Sonaidanga village in Kadimchilan Union.
On Tuesday (January 21) the accident occurred around 12.30 P.M at Sheikhchilan road of the Lalpur upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalpur Police Station Md. Nuruzzaman confirmed the incident.
According to local sources, Shraban, Swapan & Bidhan were going to Dhala Hindupara to visit their maternal uncels house on a motorcycle.
When they reached the Sheikhchilan road, their motorcycle collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
Shraban and Bidhan died on the spot. The seriously injured Swapan died on the way to the nearest hospital.
Lalpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Nuruzzaman said three friends have died in the incident.
Two of them died on the spot in the collision with the truck, while one died on the way to the hospital. I think these three are responsible for accident as all of them were riding together on a motorcycle which is strictly prohibited. Police have reached the spot after being informed by local people and are working on to find the killer truck out.
