Sylhet Zilla Parishad scholarship distribution ceremony2024 completed in Sylhet on Thursday with a colourful programme held at Kabi Nazrul Auditorium in Rikabi Bazar in Sylhet city organised by Sylhet Zilla Parishad.
Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi attend the ceremony as chief guest.
He said this speech, “We are one of the largest nations in the world in terms of population. We need honest, skilled and patriotic leadership. If this is created, the world will salute us. We do not want division, we want to be united. We have to work together to move the country forward. Those who will create division among us are our national enemies. Our students took a courageous role to stop all kinds of discrimination and injustice. I think that the students who are getting scholarships today will also strive to develop themselves as honest, skilled and patriotic citizens.”
Zilla Parishad Administrator and Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Debjit Singho presided over and conducted by District Zilla Parishad Executive Officer Anupama Das.Sylhet Additional Deputy Commissioner Noorer Zaman Chowdhury spoke the ceremony as special guest,
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sadwip Kumar Singha delivered the welcome speech.SSC-2022 student Hasan Al Mahdi and HSC-2022 student Fahmida Atia spoke on behalf of the scholarship recipients. Hasan Ahmed recited from the Holy Quran and Jhumi Rani Nath recited the Gita. On behalf of the Zilla Parishad, the chief guest presented a memento to the Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet, Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi, and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sadwip Kumar Singha. At the event, 10 autistic students of Sylhet Art and Autistic School also handed over a check equivalent to 1 year’s salary allowance, i.e. Tk 3 lakh, to the chief guest. In addition, the chief guest and other guests handed over scholarships worth Tk 24 lakh 86 thousand to 425 students at the initiative of the Zilla Parishad.
