Jamaat Amir visits grave of Abu Saeed

Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Wednesday visited the grave of martyr Abu Saeed , who was lying in eternal sleep at his home in Bamanpur, Jafarpara, Pirganj of Rangpur.

Before this, he met the parents and relatives of Abu Saeed and expressed his condolences. He also gave Tk. one lakh cash to the family of the deceased. At the same time, he promised to stand by Abu Saeed’s family.

At this time, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami said that all those involved in the non-violent movement of students will be brought to justice.

Abu Saeed was shot dead by the police during the quota reform movement where students clashed with police, Chhatra League and Jubo League in front of the university gate on July 16. The next day on July 17, he was buried at his house in Babanpur village of Madankhali union of Pirganjupazila. Abu Saeed was one of the coordinators of Begum Rokeya University in the anti-discrimination quota reform movement.

Earlier in the morning, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami came from Dhaka to Pirganj in Rangpur by helicopter.
