Adv Rahmat Ali passes away

Former president of Manikganj Lawyers Association, member of Supreme Court Bar, founder of Harirampur Jhitka Khawa Rahmat Ali College, former head teacher of Maluchi Rawan Ibn Ramzan School and College, author of various books, song-composer Khawaja Rahmat Ali (89) passed away on Thursday night at his suburban residence.
He left behind three sons, two daughters, grandchildren, relatives and many well-wishers. After the janaza at the Dhaka High Court, Manikganj Judge Court, Jhitka College premises on Friday. He was buried in the family graveyard.
Dhaka District and Metropolitan Lawyers’ Association, Manikganj and Dhaka Lawyers’ Association, Youth Association, Babul-Rina Foundation, Shikshinilay Pre-Cadet School, leaders of various organizations, eminent persons and people from all walks of life expressed deep condolences on his death.
