Easy victory for Comilla in BPL Cricket

Comilla Victorians recorded an easy 52-run victory over Sylhet Strikers in the 10th match of the Ispahani Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Sent into bat first, Comilla Victorians scored 138 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then bundled out Sylhet for a paltry 78 off 16.2 overs.
Comilla had a painful start as opener Litton Das (8) was trapped leg before wicket by Ben Cutting when Comilla’s score was just eight runs.
Opener Mohammad Rizwan and one-down Imrul Kayes repaired the damage contributing together 47 runs for the second wicket partnership before Rizwan (14) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Mohammad Mithun off Samit Patel when Comilla’s score was 55 for the loss of two wickets.
Imrul Kayes hit a polished 30. His 28-ball innings was laced with three fours and a sixer.
Fourth-down Jaker Ali and fifth-down Khushdil Shah built another notable partnership putting together 39 runs in the sixth wicket stand before Khushdil Shah was bowled out by Richard Ngrava when Comlilla’s total was 113 for the loss of six wickets.
Khushdil scored 22 from 21 balls featuring one four.
Jaker Ali hit a remarkable 29. His 27-ball knock had one six and one four.
Samit Patel grabbed three wickets in the space of 16 runs, while Richard Ngrava bagged two wickets at the cost of 25 runs.
Ben Cutting and Tanzim Hasan took one wicket each for 10 and 29 runs respectively.
Sylhet Strikers faced a calamity as they lost six wickets for 28 runs.
Second-down Zakir Hasan and sixth-down Ryan Burl mended the innings scoring together 40 runs for the seventh wicket partnership before Ryan Burl (14) was caught at the long-off by Khushdil Shah off Roston Chase when Sylhet’s score was 68 for the loss of seven wickets.
After dismissal of Burl, Zakir Hasan could not stay at the crease for a long period as he was caught behind by wicketkeeper Litton Das off Roston Chase when Sylhet’s total was 70 for the loss of eight wickets.
Zakir Hasan hit a polished 41. His 34-ball knock was belted with six fours.
Then, rest of the Sylhet batters failed to resist Comilla bowling attack.
Aliss Al Islam of Comilla Victorians captured four wickets for 17 runs. Aliss was adjudged the Man of the Match. Roston Chase bagged two wickets instead of 17 runs.
Besides, Khushdil Shah, Tanvir Islam and Matthew Forde took one wicket apiece.
