No cabinet member from Manikganj

In the 12th National Assembly elections, A-League nominated candidate for Manikganj-3 (Sadar-Saturia) constituency, Health Minister Zahid Malek was elected as MP for the fourth time in a row, but this time he was not included in the ministerial meeting.
Besides, independent candidate Dewan Zahid Ahmed Tulu was elected in Manikganj-2 (Singair-Harirampur) constituency and Salauddin Mahmud Zahid was elected independent MP in Makinganj-1 (Shibalaya, Ghior, Daulatpur) constituency.
In all these constituencies, out of 20 candidates, 15 have forfeited their security. In Manikganj-2 constituency, the A-League candidate, wood artist Mumtaz Begum, and in 1 constituency, Jatiya Party’s Zahirul Alam Rubel’s security deposit has been saved. It should be noted that in each parliamentary seat, there is a provision of confiscating the candidate’s security if he gets less than 8 percent of the casting votes.
