Death of teacher before attending farewell function

A farewell function, marking the last working day of a Head Teacher, turned into a day of mourning, tears and sobs among his colleagues, assistant teachers, little students and invited guests of the locality.

Monday was the last working day of Tapan Kr Saha (59), Head Teacher of Radhashar Govt Primary School under Bakila Union of Hajiganj Upazila. In order to accord him farewell , a function was organised on the premises of school at noon on Monday last.

Teachers, students and local well wishers had a keen desire to give the outgoing Head Teacher Tapan Kr Shaha various kinds of gifts. But all efforts went in vain.

A sad news reached to all early in the morning stating that Tapan sir had died early hours at 3 am on Monday on the way to the local hosdpital in Chandpur town. The news was a bolt from the blue to all.

Instead, his body went to the function at noon where a mourning situation was observed. UP member Rabiul Islam Arun has said, I was supposed to be present as guest in the farewell function.

But bad luck, our favourite Tapan sir passed away all of a sudden. A pall of gloom descended upon the area following his sudden demise.

Tapan kr Saha left behind wife, also a high school teacher, two children and a host of friends and well wishers to mourn his death.
