6 arrested in robbery case in Bhangura

Police have arrested Six people in connection with a robbery in Bhanguraupazila of Pabna.

They are Hashem Ali, Rashedul Islam, MdLiton, MdAlam, and BabuSarkar. They are residents of BaghabariPaschim Para village of Shahjadpur police station of Sirajganj district.

The name of the other detained person is Monirul Islam. He is a resident of Silanda village of Sathiya police station in Pabna district.

The incident took place on Monday after midnight at Bheramara Bazar area of Bhanguraupazila on Tebunia-Baghabari road.

It is reported that Mr. Chandan Kumar Das, a banana dealer of Aigbari village of Shahjadpur police station of Sirajganj district, was going to Meherpur with a pickup vehicle.

Those gang members followed him with two CNGs.

When the picup reached the Bheramara Bazar, they stopped in front of two CNG pickups.

The driver was then forced to stop the vehicle. Within moments they hit the driver and threw him out of the car.

The miscreants immediately took control of the vehicle.

The miscreants then took away the businessman’s money bag and also dropped him from the pickup.

The miscreants were caught red-handed by the patrolling police while leaving the spot with the pickup.

At that time, the police seized some sharp weapons and a big rope from them. They also rescue the pickup.

Md. RashidulIslam,Officer-in-charge of Bhangura police station admitted the truth of the incident and said that there are many complaints against the accused in the concerned police station.

A robbery case has been registered in Bhangura police station in this regard.

The accused have been sent to Pabna District Jail.
