AL pays homage to four national leaders on Jail Killing Day

The ruling Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies on Friday paid glowing tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and four national leaders on the occasion of Jail Killing Day commemorating the brutal killing of the leaders inside safe custody of Dhaka Central Jail in 1975, reports BSS.

Wreaths were laid at Bangabandhu’s portrait before Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 at 7.30am.

November 3 is a stigmatized and sorrowful day in the nation’s history as the four national leaders — Syed Nazurl Islam, Tajuddin Ahmed, Captain M Mansur Ali and AHM Qamaruzzaman — who were close associates of Bangabandhu, were brutally killed inside Dhaka central jail on that fateful night.
