Science Talent Hunt-2026 held in Muktagachha

A science talent hunt competition was held in Muktagachha of Mymensingh on Saturday with the aim of encouraging scientific thinking, innovation and problem-solving skills among school students.

Titled “DC’s Science Talent Hunt-2026,” the competition was organised by the Muktagachha Upazila Administration at Muktagachha R.K. Government High School as part of a district-wide initiative of the Mymensingh District Administration.

The competition was held simultaneously in all 13 upazilas of the district to identify talented students and inspire the younger generation to take greater interest in science and innovation. Muktagachha Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Krishna Chandra attended the programme as the chief guest. To encourage the participants and promote environmental awareness.

The UNO also honoured members of the judging panel and the organising committee for their contributions to the successful completion of the competition.

The organisers said the answer scripts would be evaluated carefully and the top five contestants would be selected based on merit. The selected students will then get the opportunity to compete at the district level.

Talented students selected from different upazilas will take part in the district-level competition. The initiative is expected to strengthen students’ interest in science while developing their logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.

The organisers expressed hope that the programme would play an important role in nurturing a skilled, science-minded and environmentally conscious new generation.
