ACC public hearing held in Kishoreganj

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arranged a public hearing in Kishoreganj on Sunday in which people mostly brought complaints against the land, registry office, hospital, education and the passport office there.
Some 100 complaints against government agencies operating in kishoreganj district were heard at the event at local Art Council Auditorium attended by some 500 people.
ACC Secretary Md. Mahabub Hossain attended as chief guest, Director General of ACC Akhter Hossain, Director Morshed Alam were special guests, while Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj, Md. Abul Kalam Azad in the modared.
Police Super (SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), Syed Nazrul Islam medical college hospital director dr.Helaluddin ‘,Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Saiful Islam, Deputy Secretary (DS) In Local Government Habibur Rahman, ADC (Revenue) Farhad Chowdhury, NSI deputy director Md. Iqbal, ACC Deputy Director Md. Salauddin, Mayor Mahamud Pervez, CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito, Senior journalist Mostafa Kamal, Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu among others, were present. Victims complained about government officials for their poor service, irritating delays, and taking bribes to serve the people.
Representatives of the accused agencies promised to resolve the issues raised at the earliest, in some cases, within one to 10 days.
Md. Mahabub Hossain, Secretary of ACC, said that, ACC is gradually growing stronger with its growing capacity and workforce.
We have been able to punish offenders many cases. The corrupt are now in fear, he added.
