Bangladesh Cricket team take part in practice without Hathurusingha

Members of Bangladesh Cricket team took part in their practice session at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday without their Head Coach Chandika Hathurusingha.

Technical Director of Bangladesh Cricket team Sridharan Sriram and Batting Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Nic Pothas conducted the training session.

Hathurusigha could not participate in the practice session as he has been suffering from dehydration.

Sriaram spoke to Captain Shakib Al Hasan for a long time.

Senior Media Manager of the BCB Rabeed Imam said, ” Chandika Hathurusingha did not face any serious problem.

He could not adapt the high temperature of Mumbai.

He became sick as he has been suffering from dehydration.

So, he did not conduct the training session today.”

Bangladesh arrived in India to show a notable performance in India.

They made an auspicious start after defeating Afghanistan in their first match.

But later, they conceded defeats in their next three matches.

Bangladesh tasted a 137-run defeat to England in their second match, Bangladesh lost to New Zealand by eight wickets and the Tigers suffered a seven-wicket defeat to hosts India.

Bangladesh will face South Africa in their fifth match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup tomorrow.

Bangladesh have taken the sixth position in the points table.

Bangladesh have to win their rest of the five matches, if they want to reach the semi-finals.

Pacer Taskin Ahmed is ill.

Besides, participation of Shakib Al Hasan in the next match is not clear as he got injury, while he was playing against New Zealand recently.

Bangladesh will play against South Africa, Netherlands, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia.

If Bangladesh win rest of those five opponents, Bangladesh have a chance to take place in ‘Last Four’.
