Fakirerpool Youngmen’s cleared of the FIFA transfer ban

Dhaka Abahani Limited recently finalised their squad after clearing outstanding dues to foreign players and having FIFA’s transfer ban lifted. Bashundhara Kings also saw their FIFA transfer ban removed.

Now, Fakirerpool Youngmen’s have become the third team to have its FIFA transfer ban lifted.

General Secretary of Fakirerpool Club Ahmad Ali told on Thursday, “We had both of FIFA’s transfer bans lifted just a day ago.

Work on building the squad is now in full swing; we are trying to retain last season’s squad while adding a few new players.”

Dhaka Abahani, Bashundhara Kings, and Fakirapool Youngmen’s have been cleared of FIFA’s transfer ban but two other domestic clubs, Feni Soccer and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi remain on the list of banned clubs.

However, neither of these clubs is currently active in football; consequently, whether or not the ban is lifted for them has no impact on domestic football.

While the country’s top football league has featured 10 teams over the past few seasons, will there be 13 this time? There has been no official announcement from the BFF regarding this yet.
