JCD holds protest rally on DU campus

The Dhaka University (DU) unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the BNP, held a protest programme on the campus on Monday demanding the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and an alleged attack on the group at Shahbag in the capital recently.

The JCD demonstrated on the DU campus after a long interval.

The JCD brought out the protest rally from Shahbag intersection.

The programme led by DU unit joint secretary Tarek Hasan Mamun, Aman Ullah Aman, Hasan Abidur Reza Bayezid and Noor Alam Bhuiyan Iman ended at Raju Scripture Memorial on the campus .

During the rally, the JCD activists raised various slogans to press home their demands.

At the end of the protest rally at the foot of the Raju sculpture, JCD leaders demanded the immediate release of Khaleda Zia and her proper treatment abroad.

They also called for ensuring appropriate punishment for the Chhatra League for its demonic attacks on Chhatra Dal leaders and activists across the country.
