Bangladesh Cricket team will take on New Zealand Cricket team in the final, third and crucial One Day International (ODI) match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today.
The Kiwis led the ODI aeries 1-0.
The Tigers have to win today’s match, if they want to draw the series.
Otherwise, the Kiwis will win the series.
The crucial ODI match will start at 2.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Private satellite sports channel T Sports, private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live.
Before today’s match, Bangladesh and New Zealand faced each other in 40 ODI matches.
Of them, Bangladesh posted 10 victories, while New Zealand won 29 occasions and one match ended without any result.
Meanwhile, Team Management of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has included promising Najmul Hossain Shanto, ace wicketkeeper- batter Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam for the third ODI. Litton Das and Tamim Iqbal have sought recess to the BCB.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the squad as the Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team instead of Litton Das.
Shanto played 29 ODI matches. He scored 832 runs.
He hit two centuries and four half-centuries.
Shanto made his debut in 2018 against Afghanistan.
Shanto said, ” It is a pride for me to lead Bangladesh Cricket team.
I shall feel challenge and will enjoy the match.
I think my mission will be a long time.
I always try to enjoy my bad time and also my good time in my campaign.”
