Momtaz sings playback song in Habibul Islam Habib’s movie ‘Japito Jibon’

Bangladesh’s popular folk song artiste, also the Member of the Parliament, Momtaz Begum is currently busy with political activities.

Because of which she has to spend most of times in her own constituency due to her busy schedule.

Apart from stage shows and especially work, Momtaz is now giving more attention to the election campaign.

However, when she gets an offer to sing a very good song in the movie, she tries to sing that song.

Last Sunday, Momtaz lent her voice to a song in the movie ‘Japito Jibon’, which was directed by Habibul Islam Habib. Momtaz liked the lyrics and tune of the song so she sang the song with much attention.

Basically Momtaz has sung the situational song of the movie ‘Japito Jibon’ directed by Habibul Islam Habib based on Selina Hossain’s novel.

Title of the song is ‘Nosib Jetha Niye Chole, Ami Setha Jai’.
Asif Iqbal penned the lyrics of the song, while tune and music were composed by talented singer and composer Pinto Ghosh.

The recording of the song was completed on Sunday at Pinto Ghosh’s own studio at Dilu Road in the capital.

Apart from the director, the director’s daughter actress Ashna Habib Bhabna (who plays one of the lead roles in the film) and Animesh Aich were also present during the recording.

While talking about the song, singer Momtaz told this correspondent, “I always like to sing or playback song in movies.

However, I like singing this song from Habib Bhai’s movie ‘Japito Jibon’.

Because the lyrics and melody of the song are so beautiful that my heart is filled with singing the song.

Pintu has done such a wonderful start and musical arrangement that I really have no words to describe.

I tried to sing the song with great emotion and pain. I can’t tell you how good it is, the audience can tell.

But I can now feel after every song I sing how the song felt. I have high hopes for this song.”

Director Habibul Islam Habib said, “Momtaz Apa singing the song which took the song to a different level. I have my sincere gratitude to her.”

Actress Bhabna shared her feelings by this way, “Having a song by such a great artiste in a movie means that the overall beauty of that movie increases. It is not worth explaining what she sang so well.”

Meanwhile, Momtaz performed music at a stage show at Santhia in Pabna on Monday.
