Four sustain bullet-injury in Munshiganj AL factional clash

At least four people sustained bullet injuries during a infighting of ruling Awami League factional clash in Munshiganj on Wednesday.

Police and local people said that the clash took place at about 6:30pm at Bakultala village between supporters of Adhara union AL general secretary Suruj Mia and ward-3 AL president Ali Ahmed.

At least four people including a child in a battery-run auto-rickshaw sustained bullet injuries during an exchange of fire from both sides.

The injured were rushed to Munshiganj General Hospital. In charge of the emergency department of the hospital, Dr Ferdous Hasan said that three of the four, including a 7-month-old, were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while another person was given treatment at the hospital.

Munshiganj Sadar police officer-in-charge Aminul Islam said that police rushed to the spot.

Now the situation is under control, police said.
