Ministry cancels Sabina Parvin’s promotion

The authorities have cancelled the promotion of Begum Sabina Parvin, an official of Directorate General of Family Planning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Begum Sabina Parvin, an official of Directorate General of Family Planning under the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, has been promoted to Director of the department from Deputy Director despite having various allegations against her.

The allegation of irregularities are: remaining absent from work place without permission of the concern authorities, misleading the authorities by serving false information, misbehavior with the colleagues and violating government transfer order.

The incident of promotion of the officer came as a surprise for other officials.

After publishing the report in different dailies including The New Nation, the ministry took the allegations into consideration and cancelled her last promotion, according to a circular released on Sunday.
