Three police officials made Additional IG

Three senior police officials have been promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General.
The Ministry of Home Affairs stated it in a circular on Wednesday (August 2).

The new Additional Inspector Generals are Selim Md Jahangir, Devdas Bhattacharya and Habibur Rahman.

The circular reads that they were made Additional Inspector Generals promoting to the Grade-2 from the post of Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

With them, the number of Additional Inspector Generals in the police administration are now 22.

Selim Jahangir works as the director of National Security Intelligence (NSI). Devdas Bhattacharya was in charge of Mymensingh Range. Habibur Rahman was on current charge as the Additional IG of Tourist Police.

Both Jahangir and Devdas belong to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service. Habibur is an official of the 17th batch of BCS.
