AL lawmaker Rebecca Momin passes away

Ruling Awami League lawmaker from Netrokona-4 constituency Rebecca Momin died of old-age complications at Square Hospital here in the early hours of Tuesday.
“Rebeka Momin, MP, breathed her last at about 4.30am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in Dhaka,” her personal aide Mohammad Tofail Ahmed confirmed the death.
She was 76.

Rebecca, wife of former AL Presidium Member and ex-Food Minister Abdul Momin, left behind by her daughter, scores of well-wishers and political admirers to mourn her death.
Rebecca, who started her politics as the vice-president of Rajshahi University Chhatra League in the sixties, held various positions in the party throughout her long political career.
