Land acquisition, car, plane, ship purchasing suspended

The government has suspended the acquisition of land and purchase of aero planes, ships and cars as part of its efforts to cut operating expenditure during the ongoing financial crisis.
The finance ministry said this in a notice on Sunday that the order must have to follow to reduce government financial expenditures.
As per the directives, every types of new car purchasing would be suspended.
Besides, every types of construction of installations, residential and non-residential buildings would be suspended.
It has suspended land acquisitions in land sectors in any purpose.

The order would be applicable to government, semi-government, autonomous and statutory organisations, and state-owned companies and financial institutions.
The order said the steps were parts of austerity measures to tackle an ongoing global economic crisis.
Anisuzzaman, the Deputy Secretary of the finance division signed the notification.
It said revised work orders cannot be issued for the construction.
The orders also suspended to travel abroad for the government officials for attending seminars and workshops in most cases.
Some especial cases, the officials may be allowed to go abroad for participating seminars, trainings and workshops as per permission of authorities.
