Shireen releases new song for Eid-ul-Azha

Singer Shireen Jawad, famous for her hit song titled ‘Panjabiwala’, has released of a new song titled ‘Bain Duar Di’ on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
This melodious composition was written in the regional dialect of Chattogram and it was released on the YouTube channel of ‘Gafur Hali’ on Tuesday.
Produced by the Abdul Gafur Hali Research Centre, the song ‘Bain Duar Di’ holds a special significance as it pays homage to the timeless works of legendary lyricist, Abdul Gafur Hali, based in Chattogram, known for his mystic compositions. Under the skilled music direction of Tanim, the song showcases Shireen’s incredible vocal prowess, adding a fresh perspective while honouring the original essence of the piece.

While talking about the project, Nasir Uddin Haider, Secretary of the Abdul Gafur Hali Research Centre, said, “Gafur Hali’s immortal song ‘Bain Duar Di Na Aisho Tui Nishir Kale’, previously rendered by Shefali Ghosh, gained immense popularity in the 70s. We have now recorded the song in Shireen’s melodious voice featuring a fresh arrangement under the support of Mohammad Anwarul Haque, Vice Chairman of the Abdul Gafur Hali Research Centre.”

Shireen expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to pay tribute to the legendary works of Abdul Gafur Hali.
She told this correspondent, “I owe my success to Abdul Gafur Hali’s iconic compositions such as ‘Panjabiwala’ and ‘Monero Bagane’. Gafur uncle held a special place in his heart for me.”
