‘Yamal taught me to believe in myself’

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal received plenty of praise from girlfriend Ines Garcia at an award ceremony in Madrid recently, highlighting the growing relationship between the couple.

Garcia, a social media influencer with 4.7 million Instagram followers, received the New Generation Lifestyle award from Spanish magazine Hola as recognition for her career as a digital content creator.

In her acceptance speech, Garcia said Yamal played a big role in making her gain more self-belief.

“The Ines of the past would be very proud of herself. If something is meant for you, no one can take it away.

I want to thank my parents, and siblings, who taught me to fight for what you want. And I want to thank my partner, who taught me to believe in myself,” said Garcia.

Yamal and Garcia have been dating since early 2026, and were first spotted together in public during a holiday in Greece.
