Bangabandhu’s Juliot-Curie award anniv celebrates

Different political and socio-cultural organizations including District Administration in Kishoreganj celebrated the 50 th anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s receiving the Julio-Curie award through holding various programmes in Kishoreganj. The programmes include placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, seminar, discussion and cultural function marking the day. A discussion meeting held at local Art Council Auditorium on Sunday evening. DC in Kishoreganj, Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad attended as chief guest, SP Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar), Civil Surgeon dr.Saiful Islam and ruling Awami League( AL) district general secretary advocate M. A Afzol were special guests while ADC (General) Farhad Chowdhury presided over the programme. It was addressed among others by, Ganatantree Party district president advocate Bhupendra Bhowmick Dholon and Former Freedom Fighters, unit commonder Md. Asadullah. DC Abul Kalam Azad said, the world Peace Council awarded Julio-Curie Peace Prize to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his being a symbol of world peace on May 23, 1973.

Body of unknown woman found

The police. have recovered the dead body of an unidentified woman from under a tree near the Nayagaon cremation ground in Nagar Union of khaliajuri Upazila of Netrokona on Sunday noon. t is known that , the locals saw the dead body of an unidentified woman with her throat cut. Later the matter was informed to the police. The Sub-Inspector (SI) in Khaliajuri Police Station Akiqul Islam confirmed the recovery of the body of the unidentified woman and said that after preparing the condition report of the deceased, Dead body sent to Netrakona Modern Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police are working to reveal the identity of the deceased and the real mystery of the incident, SI Atiqul added
