CAAB lifts Covid-19 restrictions from all airports

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has lifted Covid-19 related restrictions from all international and domestic airports of the country, including Dhaka.
Air Commodore Shah Kawshar Ahmed Chowdhury, Member of the Flight Standard and Regulations Department of CAAB, informed this through a circular issued on May 25.
According to the circular, no passenger will be required to show the Covid-19 vaccine certificate while entering and leaving Bangladesh until further instructions.
Even, there will be no need to complete RT-PCR covid test or fill-up the health declaration form and wearing masks have also been relaxed for everyone, the circular said.
According to the CAAB circular, though wearing mask restrictions have been lifted for the general people, those who work in sensitive areas like hospitals or clinics will have to wear masks.
There is no restriction on the number of passengers carried by large or small airlines.
However, passengers have to follow the health restrictions of the respective countries they are travelling. According to the circular addressed to the hajj pilgrims, the pilgrims must comply with the health restrictions of Saudi Arabia.
Everyone should stay away from camels due to the risk of contracting the Mars virus, the circular added.
However, the Ministry of Health informed that 61 people have been diagnosed with Corona in the last 24 hours on Saturday, but no one died due to corona during this time. The detection rate is 6.57 per cent.
On May 5, the World Health Organization (WHO), one of the organs of the United Nations, announced the end of the global emergency related to the corona epidemic.
