Ankhi gets response for 2 songs, went to shows in Belgium, Paris and Italy

Popular singer Ankhi Alamgir, who won the National Film Award for acting and singing, released two original songs
last Eid. One song is ‘Kothay Rekhechho Amay’ and another is ‘Rajkumari.’ Released on Dhruba Music Station, the song ‘Kothay Rakhechho Amay’ is composed by legendary singer Runa Laila and written by Kabir Bakul.

Music of the song was arranged by Raja Kasheff, while music video was made by Chandan Roy Chowdhury.

Again the song ‘Rajkumari’ has been released by RTV Music. The song is written and music composed by Shawkat Ali Emon. Music video of the song was made by Uzzal Rahman. These two songs have been released to add colour to the Eid festival.

These songs are enjoying by the listeners with great interest.

How is Ankhi Alamgir getting response for two songs? The singer replied to this correspondent, “To be honest, I am getting good response for both songs.

The song ‘Kothay Rakhechho Amay’ is composed by respected Runa Laila Aunty. I was awarded the National Film Award for singing the song composed by her. Her lyrics and compositions are completely different – called a masterpiece. Again Shawkat Ali Emon’s ‘Rajkumari’ song is also a masterpiece.

To be honest, I am in favour of good music. I try to sing well myself, and also I try to express myself. I am not on behalf of the viewer. My original song ‘Layla’ doesn’t have many views. But after the release of this song, when I went to the show, I had to sing the song ‘Layla’ at the request of the audience.

I prefer to proceed slowly. My target around music is slowly reaching that target – this is my achievement.”

Meanwhile Ankhi Alamgir left for Belgium, Paris and Italy last Thursday. She is scheduled to return home on May 9 after three different stage shows.

Ankhi Alamgir won the National Film Award for her performance in the movie ‘Bhat De’ directed by Amjad Hossain. She also got the National Film Award for acting and singing song in the movie ‘Ekti Cinemar Golpo,’ directed by film actor Alamgir.
