Construction of Ghazna Union Parishad bldg demanded

Locals formed a human chain on Sunday on the Nimtala Road of Ghazna Bazar in Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur demanding the construction of Ghazna Union complex building in Ghazna Bazar.
Member of Ghazna Union Parishad No. 7 Ward Monirul Islam Munnu under the chairmanship of the landowner for the Union Complex building and headmaster of Ghazna Purnachandra High School Abdul Wahab Molya, brave freedom fighter Abul Bashar, Bijan Kumar Pathak, former UP member A. Rashid Baku, Awami League leaders Helaluddin and Hamidur Rahman were present there.
Speakers at the Manavbandhan program said that a group of people are trying to protest the construction of one side of the Union Complex building. They said land has been given in the central area of the Union for the construction of Ghazna Union Complex building. Construction of union complex building with Ghazna Bazar will enable all residents of the union to enjoy the benefits and transportation will be facilitated.
It is noted that the founding chairman of Ghazna Union Parishad, Uma Charan Majumdar, ran the activities of the then Union Parishad in Ghazna Bazar from 1920-1947. When a man named Azimuddin was elected as the chairman in 1960, he established the Union Parishad office in Mathurapur Bazar bordering the union in his area with the help of local Muslim League leader Chaken Ali, the human chainers claimed. Demanded the authorities to construct the building in Ghazna Bazar on its own site of the Union Complex building from the human chain.
