Schoolgirl commits suicide in Kalapara

A schoolgirl committed suicide by hanging herself becoming sentimental over her mother in Kuakata under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali.
The incident took place on Monday (February 27) noon in Shat- Ghar area of Ward No. 1 under Kuakata municipality.
Deceased Taniya is a ten-grader student of Bangabandhu Secondary School of the area. His father Kabir Hawladar is an autorikshaw driver by profession.
According to family sources, the student closed the door of the room and hanged herself by tieing her neck with a veil.
Mohipur Police Station (OC) Khondkar Abul Khair said after inspecting the spot, whether it was murder or suicide can be said after the post-mortem. Preparations are underway to send the body for autopsy to Patuakhali medical hospital morgue.
