Misuse of information technology

Due to the incredible advancement of science worldwide, considerable progress has been made in information and technology. As a result, the meaning of life is also being observed an incredible change. Through the proper use of information technology, people are climbing the golden peak of progress, but due to the misuse of information technology, they are pushing themselves towards destruction.
Nowadays, the use of technology has penetrated the holes in people’s lives. Not a single day passes without it. According to the study, at least 64 out of 100 people spend an average of 4 hours per day in front of some kind of technological screen. As a result of this overuse of technology, we have made it the cause of many of our losses.
As the life expectancy of the people increases, the doors of great possibilities are opening in front of us. What horizons the advancement of science and technology will ultimately take us is beyond imagination. Step by step we are passing each level of civilization. Technology has taught us many things.
On the other hand, morals and values have been taken away from us. Everyone acknowledge that the progress of technology and science is necessary for our society. The contribution of information technology to the development of civilization is irreplaceable. But have we ever thought about where the negative aspects of technology are lowering our position?
Our information technology is in the hands of some minor and morally ignorant people. A large part of crime is organized around these social media. Various anti-social media sites are now being used as a medium to hurt people’s emotions and feelings. And these worthless people have made information technology their field of enjoyment and luxury.
More than half of the internet users in the country are spent on pornographic and various online games, including apps like TikTok, Facebook and Likey. Around 60 per cent of urban or school children are addicted to pornography today. And this excessive addiction to pornography is the result of the misuse of information technology.
So before giving an advanced mobile or tab to the child, think about whether he can use it safely or not. If not, the waste of talent of the new generation cannot be prevented, crime will also increase. As a result, the young generation is suffering from physical degeneration as well as mental degeneration. Around 700 people commit suicide every day in the world just because of the misuse of information technology.
Also, it has made the current generation quite addicted. As a result, the generation spends time on Facebook, mobile and the internet instead of books. It is important to take steps to save the future generation of school, college, and university students from this disastrous international conspiracy. And harmful sites should be closed or access prevented. Otherwise, we will soon sink into the darkness of civilization.
Misuse of information technology is a massive change in humanity and a moral disaster for teenagers. At present, youth gangs are formed in various districts across the country that misuse information technology. They commit a crime like murder, women and children abuse, robbery, extortion, blackmailing, etc. These juvenile gangs mainly do group-based crimes on Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp, etc.
With the abuse of digital technology, alienation, inattention to studies, and intolerance in society is increasing rapidly which is one of the causes of all kinds of violence. Now there are extramarital love affairs, violence, and digital corruption in the mainstay. It results in overwhelming rise of this trend in society. The sound of breakdown is playing everywhere in the family and society lead to violence, and fragile families. Social tie is loosening. Civilization is under threat today due to the infiltration of bad culture among people. But its main victim is almost the entire human society.
It does not seem that there will be an ebb in this trend. Considering all aspects, it can be said that society is now leaning towards information technology-related crimes, alienation, and unequal love affairs.
Due to the misuse of information technology, it is being destroyed in the hands of morally uneducated people these days. Criminals organize most of their criminal activities around these social media. Various social networking sites are now being used as a medium to hurt people’s emotions and feelings.
Due to a lack of values and morals people have made technology their sphere of enjoyment and luxury. Distortion of information, personal denigration of a person in society, satirical presentation of portraits etc. have become routine activities in social media. Incidents like blackmailing by stealing information and pictures of individuals or organizations are often happening.
Various criminal circles have chosen the Internet as a covert medium to carry out their criminal activities. As internet users can keep their identities private, it is easy to threaten someone, extort money by trapping them in false relationships, or take revenge by recording private intimate moments and spreading them on various online sites.
Therefore, it is possible to inculcate this attitude in people that information technology is only for welfare, keeping ethics at the individual level and delivering this service to all classes of people at the grassroots level. But the proper use of information technology is not possible because not everyone is aware of the proper use of it. And so we ensure the proper use of information technology and develop a healthy country and society by adopting enough awareness programmes to prevent the misuse of information technology.
