Price hike of essentials protested in Barishal

The Left Democratic Alliance Barishal District Committee brought out held procession in the city demanding the removal of the fascist ruler Awami League from power, establishment of democracy, right to vote and feeding, demanding cancellation of the increased price of electricity and gas price, reducing the prices of daily commodities.
The programme was held on Saturday (January 14) noon at the heart of the city on Captain Mohbiuddin Jahangir Road (Sadar Road). After the rally, a protest march held on city roads.
President of Bangladesh Communist Party Barishal district committee Prof. Mizanur Rahman presided over the programme addressed among others by general secretary of district committee of Revolutionary Communist League Prof. Nripendra Nath Baroi, BSD district committee member-secretary Dr. Manisha Chakraborty, alliance member Comrade Saidul Islam, Comrade Zafar Ahmed Talukder and others.
Speakers in the rally said, today by showing the Paddma Bridge and other development works, ruling autocratic government want to stop the hunger of the people and stop their voice. This government has taken away the freedom of expression in the country. They are empowering the looters of the country showing so called development.
