SSC, equivalent exam results today
Nearly 1.86 million students across Bangladesh will learn their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examination results today, as the education boards prepare to publish the results simultaneously across the country.
The results will be released at 10am today (10 August), according to a press release issued by the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee.
Students will be able to access their results online, through their respective examination centres and educational institutions, as well as via SMS.
The results will cover the nine general education boards — Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur and Mymensingh — along with the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
Students can check their results online through the official education board results portal www.educationboardresults.gov.bd by entering the required information.
Results will also be available through SMS. Students under the general education boards should type:
SSC [space] first three letters of board name [space] roll number [space] 2026
and send the message to 16140 or 16222. The result will be returned by SMS.
For Madrasa Education Board students, the format is:
Dakhil [space] MAD [space] roll number [space] 2026
For Technical Education Board students, the format is:
SSC [space] TEC [space] roll number [space] 2026
Both messages should be sent to 16140 or 16222.
All examination centres and educational institutions have been instructed to collect the results online.
Nearly 18.6 lakh candidates
A total of 18,57,344 candidates sat the SSC and equivalent examinations this year under the country’s 11 education boards, according to the Education Ministry.
Of the candidates, 9,30,305 were boys and 9,27,039 were girls. Students from 30,666 educational institutions took part in the examinations at 3,885 centres nationwide.
The general education boards accounted for 14,18,318 candidates, while 3,03,286 students appeared under the Madrasa Education Board’s Dakhil examinations and 1,34,660 under the Technical Education Board.
The SSC and equivalent examinations began on 21 April, with the written theoretical examinations continuing until 20 May. Practical examinations were held from 7 June to 14 June.
The simultaneous publication of results across the 11 boards will allow students to obtain their results through multiple channels, including online services and SMS, as the education authorities complete the final preparations for publication.
