‘Joyeeta’ reception held in Kishoreganj

The nation observed Begum Rokeya Day on Friday marking the 142th birth and 90th death anniversary of Begum Rokeya Sakhawat, a social reformer and pioneer of women’s rights and education in the subcontinent.
Women Affairs Department including District Administration in Kishoreganj and various organizations organised many programme marking the Begum Rokeya Day. A discussion, Joyeeta reception, award and certificates giving function were held at local Collectorate Conference Room on Friday.
 Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj Md. Abul Kalam Azad attended as Chief Guest and Police Super (SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), Civil Surgeon( CS) dr. Saiful Islam, Awami League( AL) district general secretary advocate M. A Afzol , ADC (General) & DS Golam Mostafa were special guest while DD in Women Affairs Department Mamunur Rashid presided over.
