The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Thursday the 17-member Bangladesh Test squad for the upcoming first Test match against India. The first Test between Bangladesh and India will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from December 14 to December 18. The second Test between Bangladesh and India will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur from December 22 to December 26.
Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal was ruled out from the squad due to groin injury. ‘Cutter Boy’ Mustafizur Rahman was not included in the squad.
Promising opener Zakir Hasan has been called up in the squad. He notched up a superb 173-run innings against India ‘A’ in the four-day match recently. He played for Bangladesh ‘A’ team. Pacer Rejaur Rahman Raja has been called up in the 17-member Bangladesh Test squad. Mominul Haque has retained his position. Yasir Ali has returned to the squad. Right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed has been included in the squad. Pacers Ebadot Hossain, Shoriful Islam and Khaled Ahmed have been included in the squad. Wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim has returned to the squad.

India Test squad:
