Hajj pilgrims can now complete immigration process in Dhaka

The pilgrims can now complete all necessary immigration procedures from Dhaka before heading for performing Hajj in the holy city of Mecca.
Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Dr Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood made the remarks during a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen in the State House Padma on Sunday.
Saudi government has agreed to offer this facility to the pilgrims of Bangladesh under the Route-to-Mecca Service Agreement.
Showing a sign of camaraderie and excellent bilateral relations between Dhaka and Riyadh, Bangladeshi pilgrims are going to enjoy this facility as the first country under the Route-to-Mecca Service Agreement, Foreign Ministry said. During the bilateral meeting, Abdul Momen thanked Saudi Arabia for the cordial cooperation in strengthening the relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia in various spheres.
Dr Nasser appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for stable economic development of Bangladesh.
The Deputy Interior Minister also expressed his country’s eagerness in security cooperation for the mutual interest of the two countries.
Foreign Minister said both countries were working closely in various field of cooperations including trade, investment, security, education, culture, electricity, fuel, civil aviation and tourism.
Momen said, “The government and people of Bangladesh are eagerly waiting to welcome the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh.”
He also thanked the Saudi Deputy Interior Minister for his visit to Dhaka.
