1 killed as trucks collide in city

UNB, Dhaka :A truck driver was killed and two more people were injured in a head-on collision between two trucks in the city’s Purana Paltan area early Wednesday.Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.Mahfujur Rahman, sub-inspector of Shahbagh Police Station, said the accident took place in the area when a sugar-laden truck collided head-on with another truck coming from the opposite direction at about 1:00 am, leaving a truck driver dead on the spot and two other people injured.The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
