Stocks recover on higher activities around new shares

Dhaka stocks recovered on Tuesday driven mainly by relatively higher activities around some newly listed issues.
DSEX, the broader price index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 35.6 points to close the session at 4804.5 after losing over 130 points in the last 10 trading sessions.
The blue-chip DS30 and the Shariah DSES also eased up to 1771.50 and 1119.73 respectively on a seller’s market where 168 scrips gained among 298 issues traded.
Three newly listed issues showed up in the day’s top 20 chart with Western Marine Shipyard being the most liquid scrip. The two other new issues were Khan Brothers and Saif Power. However, Beximco Pharma, Beximco, Lafarge Surma and Jamuna Oil were also among the top five most active companies.
