Petersen named ICC Player of the Month

Bangladesh seamer Ebadot Hossain failed to join the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim as he lost the battle to South Africa’s Keegan Petersen in winning the ICC Player of the Month award.
Ebadot claimed six for 46 in the second innings of the first Test to script Bangladesh’s eight-wicket win which was also the Tigers’ first-ever win on New Zealand soil. Bangladesh later was beaten in the second Test to be satisfied with a 1-1 draw in the series. But it was a landmark series for the Tigers as the victory came at a moment when their Test performance took a massive nosedive.
However South African batter Keegan Petersen was a sensation during the home Test series against India. He helped the Proteas register a series win at home against the Indian side, his runs helping lay the foundation as South Africa bounced back from 0-1 down to claim the series 2-1.
