Angelina Jolie explains why she joined Marvel’s Eternals
In a Vogue interview, Angelina Jolie has finally explained why she decided to star in a superhero film. Jolie, who has been cast as Thena in director Chloé Zhao’s Eternals, used to be one of the few Hollywood megastars who never made
an appearance in a comic book movie. The Oscar-winning actor recently
revealed why that had to change.
“I love this cast, and that we all came together. I signed up to support Chloé (Zhao)’s vision and Marvel’s commitment to expand the way we see superheroes. Running around in a gold bodysuit was not how I imagined my forties. But it’s good crazy, I think.” The Eternals will
follow a team of new superheroes, ancient in age, who will rise to save mankind from the Deviants, following
the events of Avengers: Endgame.
